Choose your coaching session
Led by Junior Academy Director Stefan Ackermann (PGA Professional) and Assistant Professional Johnny Mallon. £40 a month, covering Golf Ireland junior registration and basic insurance alongside coaching access — age-banded evening sessions, on Tuesday or Thursday, run across a Summer term (May–September) and a Winter term (October–April).
Development Squad sessions
Monday evening coaching for juniors selected for the club's Development Squad. Places can only be booked for children the Academy office has added to the squad — if your child has been selected but you can't book, contact Johnny Mallon on 077 2437 6813.

Stefan Ackermann
Born in South Africa, Stefan took up golf at a young age as a junior member of Irene Country Club. He completed the PGA Diploma at Centurion Academy, became a full member of the PGA of South Africa in 2016, and went on to work in the golf industry in Abu Dhabi. Passionate about growing the game for all ages, Stefan leads the Academy programme and is the club's Designated Liaison Person for child safeguarding.

A former playing professional, Johnny turned pro at 19 and competed on the EuroPro Tour and the Challenge Tour. He supports every Academy session and holiday camp, working alongside Stefan on fundamentals coaching, on-course play, and summer competitions.

Junior tee times
- Monday–Friday: before 4:30pm, unless playing with an adult member
- Wednesday: no junior tee times
- Saturday–Sunday: after 3pm, for juniors with a qualifying handicap

How Dungannon Golf Club looks after the information you give us when you register for the Junior Academy or Junior Camps.
Who we are
Dungannon Golf Club, 34 Springfield Lane, Dungannon BT70 1QX, is responsible for the information on this site. Questions about your data: info@dungannongolfclub.com or 028 8772 2098.
What we collect
- About you: your name, email address, mobile number and a password (stored only in scrambled form — we can't see it).
- About your child: name, date of birth, any medical conditions or allergies you tell us about, and an emergency contact.
- Bookings: the sessions and camps you book, notes for the coaches, photo consent, how you're paying, whether your child is attending each week and whether they were at each session.
- Payments: card payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach this site.
- How the site is used: which pages are opened, which buttons are pressed and any error messages shown, so we can find and fix the parts of booking that are awkward. This is linked only to a random code that's forgotten when you close the tab — not to your name, account, email or IP address — uses no cookies, and is deleted after 6 months.
Why we use it
- To run Academy sessions and camps: places, registers, payments and contacting you about your child's coaching.
- To keep children safe: medical details and emergency contacts are available to the coaches running a session.
- To register juniors with Golf Ireland and arrange the basic insurance included in the fee.
We use your information because you've asked us to provide coaching for your child, and medical details because you've chosen to give them to keep your child safe. Photos are only used for club promotion if you've ticked the photo consent box.
Who can see it
Only the Academy coaching staff and club office. We share what's needed with Golf Ireland (junior registration and insurance), Stripe (card payments) and our website host. We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
For as long as your family account is open. Ask us and we'll delete it, unless we have to keep certain records for longer for safeguarding, insurance or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold — most of it you can update yourself from your family dashboard. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Payment options for parents

Where it comes from
Card amounts are before Stripe's fees. Cancelled and waitlisted bookings aren't counted. Monthly card payments count as received for each month that has been charged so far.
Costs
Add swing room fees, prizes and other costs. Tick "every month" for a regular cost and it's counted each month until you stop it.
